The Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis molucca) is a native Australian bird and is protected under State Wildlife Legislation (Nature Conservation Act 1992). Its traditional habitat is marshy wetlands, often near open grasslands. But, it is now common in many eastern, northern and south-western Australian cities. It has  adapted so well to city life and human company that some people regard it as a pest. Not so our esteemed David Attenborough though. Enjoy the short video.
